power-saving, greening and higher energy efficiency in facilities. It provides information necessary to design facilities for optimal performance of data centers and server rooms, and recommendations to optimize their current infrastructure and to plan for future growth or consolidation.
In order to accommodate increasing needs, Votum Thermography will add the following three menus to provide more flexible assessment services
1) Thermography Assessment
Digital infrared thermography of the data center electrical infrastructure identifies and analyzes hotspots or other conditions that exceed industry thermal guidelines by measuring the temperature of the master breaker, transformer, disconnect switch, UPS, distribution board and switchboard. And this service creates and submits reports that include infrared photographs. It also measures current values in spots in the distribution line where high temperature is measured, conducts a visual check of the installation of equipment and distribution line labels, checks the maintenance records of the electric infrastructure and reports an improvement plan.
2) Wiring Closet Assessment
This service provides documentation and analysis of network closet physical infrastructure components and recommendations to increase availability. Specifically, the service includes a visual check of the distribution of electric power, records of UPS status, battery composition and connections, recognition of power efficiency, a record of the indoor temperature level and analysis of blower efficiency, such as in the rack current.
3) Thermal Scan Light
This service is a packaged and inexpensive version of the Data Center Heat Distribution Assessment service. The temperature of each switchboard and rack unit is measured using digital infrared thermography and a report is created and submitted regarding the identified problems, including analysis results. The service also checks the situation regarding breaker damage via a visual check and prepares a list. It omits some measurement points and the orientation program included in the Data Center Heat Distribution Assessment Service.
